PEOPLE AND PLACES

Across Arkansas, nearly 150 faculty have research appointments through the Arkansas Agricultural Experiment Station. Experiment station-appointed faculty conduct research through nine departments coordinated with the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville campus, in the Forest Resources Center at the University of Arkansas-Monticello and in the Arkansas State Research Unit.

Through site-specific research at our 5 research and extension centers and 6 research stations throughout the state, we investigate and develop new methods and technologies to provide science-backed information for Arkansans and beyond. These locations are crucial to our efforts to help Arkansas farmers and other stakeholders adapt to rapid changes in technology, products, methods, and regulations.

Our partnerships with state and national agricultural organizations and other industry and community groups help keep us focused on solving the real challenges facing Arkansas farms, businesses, and communities. Our partnerships with state, federal, and international agencies and professional societies connect us to worldwide communities of science and scientists.

In the last few years, we’ve been fortunate to welcome many outstanding new faculty members. See who’s joined our team by clicking the button below.

WHERE WE FIT IN THE UA SYSTEM

The Arkansas Agricultural Experiment Station is the research arm of the University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture. We partner with the Division of Agricultures’ extension arm, the Cooperative Extension Service, to share our research findings with all Arkansans.

Through the experiment station and extension service, the Division of Agriculture carries out the research and extension aspects of the Land Grant Mission. The Dale Bumpers College of Agricultural, Food and Life Sciences at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville campus carries out the teaching mission. The Division of Agriculture is one of the 21 institutions within the University of Arkansas System.Β Learn more about the Division of Agriculture.
