Tree-Ring Research in the Amazon Rainforest

Our multinational team of research scientists has successfully created 250-year long tree-ring records in the Amazon. We are utilizing these records to reconstruct climate, streamflow, and environmental change in the Amazon basin.  We are located at the University of Arkansas-Fayetteville, the Federal University of Lavras, the National Institute for Amazon Research in Manaus, and the Instituto Argentino de Nivología, Glaciología y Ciencias Ambientales in Mendoza.
