Thin Film Carbon Nanotube Field Effect Transistor
The purpose of this project is to deliver a low cost FET for future biosensors. Currently it has been shown that single semiconducting nanotubes can be built as logic gates or sensing devices1. The current sensor that was fabricated although robust compared to other designs can offer more accurate reproducibility and a more economical way or manufacturing micro-sensors.
Metal Oxide Carbon Nanotube FET
- Nantotube thin film channel is assembled through Di-electrophoresis.
- Thin film solution is comprised of Single wall carbon nanotubes in a solution.
- A large majority of single wall carbon nanotubes are semiconducting. This allows the assembly of a channel with semiconducting properties.
