The Blockchain Center of Excellence proudly announces Brian Dixon and Bram Cohen as the keynote speakers for this year’s Blockchain Hackathon.   

Brian Dixon has developed a robust background in technology, digital assets, and investment. He has written three books covering Bitcoin, Blockchain, and other advanced technologies and a fourth lifestyle book covering intuition, manifestation, diet, exercise, and the power of consciousness. His expertise and knowledge in the tech space have afforded him over 70 features in publications such as Forbes, Inc., TechCrunch, Entrepreneur, Blockworks, and many more. Brian has performed over 65 national and international speaking engagements discussing advanced technologies and investment. Additionally, through each of his professional roles, Brian has gained a great deal of experience as a leader. He has scaled multiple companies while managing investment portfolios, investors, and employees.  

Bram Cohen is the inventor of BitTorrent, which is the most used protocol for peer-to-peer file sharing over the internet. In 2009, BitTorrent accounted for 43% to 70% of all internet traffic. Bram is often accused of being Satoshi Nakamoto – a claim he denies. Bram founded and was initial CEO of BitTorrent, Inc in 2004. During his time at BitTorrent he worked in various roles as an Engineering Manager, Product Manager, and member of the Board of Directors. He left BitTorrent in August 2017 to found Chia Network. He has served as Chairman and CTO of the Chia Network since its founding and, since June 2019, as CEO. Bram is one of the top selling puzzle designers in the world.   

Register online today for the 2022 RZRblock Hackathon – a free, month-long competition open to students or anyone interested in learning about blockchain technology. Participants will engage with industry professionals and build solutions for real-world, blockchain-enabled use cases.  

The Event will begin on Friday, March 4th from 5-8pm at the Brewer Family Entrepreneurship Hub on the Fayetteville Square. The final team pitches for both in-person and remote tracks will be on Friday, April 1st at the Donald W. Reynolds Center for Enterprise Development (RCED) on the University of Arkansas Fayetteville campus. Prizes will be awarded to first, second, and third-place teams.
