Week 1


August 20 Monday – Introduction and Welcome to LATIN 1003.
Chapter 1 grammar and vocabulary. Quizlet on parts of speech in English
and in Chapter 1. Be sure to know the parts of speech, and be able to identify
them in English sentences, and in the Latin of Chapter 1 of the Oxford Latin
course. Here is a handy place to review the English parts of speech. Take
the little quizzes to be sure you understand them.

August 22 Wednesday all the exercises for Chapter 1, page
108-109: Exercise 1.1, Exercise 1.2, Exercise 1.3.


August 24 Friday. Read pages 13-17, and complete exercises
on pages 109-110: Exercises 2.1, 2.2, 2.3.

August 27 Monday – Read pages 18-23. Complete Exercises
3.1, 3.2, 3.3, 3.4, and 3.5 (pages 111-112).


August 29 Wednesday Read pages 24-29, and complete Exercises
