I like movies that expose the audience to a reality that sometimes might be forgotten or obviated for X or Y reason, and In guerra per amore exposes the audience to the truth of who helped the mafia become as powerful as it used to be in Sicily. The movie does a very good job at exposing the reality of the measures and repercussions the US invasion of Sicily. Then the movie made this flow easier to the public “by watering it down” with other genres such as comedy and a romantic story behind it.

In order to select which was the most creative movie, I thought on which was going to be my criteria for creative. I did not think on which movie was the most different or flamboyant or imaginative, but I thought on which movie helped get a better understanding of the reality of the mafia, and that will be Gomorra. Why do I believe this is the most creative of all the movies? I believe that by the use of a neorealistic perspective and point-of-view, and the use of different stories to hit different aspects of how the mafia, or in this case the Camorra, can be involved in people’s lives, Gomorra’s creators where the most creative. No other movie was set with the idea of using different stories to show how involved can the mafia be, and how in deep can its roots be in a society. The creators where creative enough to use stories form the original book, recreate them and make them appealing for the audience to see the reality of the lives of those in Scampia. Creativity, in this case, was the reality.
