Center for Educational Access (CEA)

The Center for Educational Access (CEA) serves as the central campus resource for helping students with disabilities obtain the accommodations they need for equal access to classroom activity. The CEA provides direct support for students with disabilities and training and educational resources to the University community as a whole. The university also consults with the CEA about ways to build the technological infrastructure to maximize the accessibility of the institution’s programs, services, and activities.

Student Success Center (The CORD)

Student Success at the CORD works with students to refine and strengthen the academic skills necessary for success at the University of Arkansas.

Embedded Program – Mental Health Services in the Residence Halls

The Embedded Program is a collaboration between Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) and University Housing.

If you live in University Housing, you are eligible for Individual Counseling, Housing-specific Group Counseling, and Housing-specific outreaches at no additional out-of-pocket cost.

The Embedded team includes Mental Health Clinicians and Interns with offices in various halls around campus to increase visibility and accessibility of mental health services for Housing students.

International Student and Scholars Office

ISS serves foreign students and scholars and enhances the global awareness of the University of Arkansas community.

Jane B. Gearhart Full Circle Food Pantry

Full Circle Food Pantry is a student led emergency food assistance program that distributes a three day supply of food to all members of a household provided at least one person has a University of Arkansas ID number. As well as personal hygiene items, cleaning supplies, and fresh produce.

The pantry also provide services in an effort to reach more clients with a long term solution to food insecurity such as helping clients apply for SNAP applications and find other local resources.

Multicultural Center

The University of Arkansas’ Multicultural Center provides academic, cultural and social programs intended to promote inclusiveness, foster achievement and assist in the development and advancement of a diverse student body. They host college readiness workshops, diversity and inclusion events, and academic enrichment programs. They are located in the Arkansas Union (404).

Offices of Career Connections

The Offices of Career Connections offer many services for post-graduation success such as career coaching, resume and cover letter reviews, mock job interviews, and more. They are located on the 6th floor (west side) of the Arkansas Union (607) above the Union Ballroom.

Office of the Dean of Students

For general student concerns, the Office of the Dean of Students offers a wide variety of educational programming, as well as advising and referral services for individual students and many student organizations. Dean of Students Office is also able to assist students who are experiencing a family emergency or are in need of a medical leave.

Office of Financial Aid

The mission of the Office of Financial Aid is to ease the financial burden of a college education and to make that education accessible for students from all financial backgrounds. They assist prospective and current students by collecting and processing information and create the best possible financial aid package for each individual student. They are located in 114 Silas Hunt Hall, which is on the corner of Maple and Garland across from the Pat Walker Health Center.

Office of Student Accountability

The mission of the Student Accountability office is to support the University of Arkansas’ mission by promoting a safe and orderly community through the education of students, the enforcement of behavioral standards, peer mentoring, and leadership development.

They also aid in the development of student ethics that embrace the norms and values as well as to educate students about their rights and responsibilities as community members.
The ultimate goal is to help students understand the balance between individual and community rights and foster an atmosphere that is conducive to academic success.

Sexual and Relationship Violence Center

SRVC is the Sexual Assault and Relationship Violence Center on the University of Arkansas campus. SRVC serves the University community through education programs, professional consultations, and victim advocacy services.

All medical services provided at Pat Walker Health Center are performed by board-certified & licensed physicians and nurse practitioners, registered nurses, laboratory and imaging (x-ray) technologists.

The Psychological Clinic

The Psychological Clinic is the training and research facility of the Department of Psychological Science’s Clinical Psychology Doctoral Training Program, which is accredited by the American Psychological Association. The Clinic is staffed by trainees enrolled in the Clinical Psychology Doctoral Training Program at the University of Arkansas.  Trainees are closely supervised by licensed Clinical Psychologists.

U of A Cares

The purpose of U of A Cares is to encourage and allow members of the University community to refer students that are exhibiting signs of distress in their academic, personal, financial life or other areas.

Based on the information provided, the appropriate professional staff will be assembled to aid in addressing the concern in a comprehensive, efficient, and effective manner. This allows us to establish a system of collaborative care and concern.

University of Arkansas Autism Support Program

The goal of the University of Arkansas Autism Support Program is to provide the intensive assistance

students with high functioning autism, Asperger’s Syndrome, PDD-NOS, and non-verbal learning disability need in order to be successful in college. Our students are matriculated University of Arkansas undergraduates who have the cognitive abilities to be in college but require more help than their typical peers to complete a college degree.

Students enrolled in the program receive support in three areas: academics, transitioning to independent adult roles, and social skills.

UARK Wellness Coaching

Students have access to FREE wellness coaching provided by certified wellness coaches. 

Wellness coaching is designed to help UARK students improve their lifestyle behaviors so that they are living well in a conscious and mindful way.

University Recreation

UREC empowers students for success through recreation and wellness. All University of Arkansas students have memberships to UREC included in their student tuition. Membership grants access to the Health, Physical Education and Recreation (HPER) building, the UREC Fitness Center located on the second floor of the Arkansas Union, the UREC Sports Complex located at 1486 Mitchell St, and the UREC Tennis Center located at 1357 W Indian Trail.

Veterans & Military Affiliated Center

The Veteran & Military Affiliated Student Center serves as the central point of contact for prospective or current University of Arkansas military-affiliated students needing assistance with the admissions process, applying for military educational benefits and scholarships, referrals to various academic departments around campus. Additionally, they maintain a large network within the community to refer students to organizations specializing in veteran services.
