University of Arkansas Residents’ Interhall Congress

Residents’ Interhall Congress (RIC) is the University Housing-sponsored student government organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for on-campus students. Working as a collaborative unit for all residence halls, RIC is a governing body composed of executive members, legislative representatives, and judiciary officials. RIC advocates for policies and funds programs and infrastructure improvements within residence halls to enhance the quality of life on campus.

Who is a Member? You are! If you live on campus, you are a member of RIC. Contact your Coordinator for Residence Education (CRE) or RIC at ric@uark.edu for more information about becoming active in your hall.

What do we do? RIC provides students with the opportunity to lead in several strategic areas- from Lead Hogs, to RIC House of Representatives, to the executive team. These different units work together to address important issues concerning the quality of life on campus. RIC also plans and helps fund many hall and campus-wide programs that serve to provide a backdrop for creating a healthy community.

How can I get in contact with RIC? House meetings are held every Monday at 7:30pm in Kimpel 102. Anyone is able to attend, though voting is limited to representatives. Email ric@uark.edu to get in touch with an executive board member or advisor.
