Baldor Regenerative Drivers

NCREPT houses three Baldor regenerative drivers. The drivers allows for testing up to 6 MVA. The regenerative drives control circulating power flow and mimics sources and loads. They are controlled remotely from the control room located directly across from the cabinets.

Unified Control Board (UCB)

Designed by Dr. Chris Farnell, the UCB is utilized to standardize controller hardware architecture throughout NCREPT, which can help expedite the design process for student projects. The UCB can support fiber optic communication, voltage and current sensing, and resolver feedback.

750 KW AC-DC Converter

Also known as the H2G, the 750 kW ac-dc converter was developed from a modified Baldor motor driver. The converter hosts the UCB which serves as the main control of the supply and allows remote control.
