  • Ovulation occurs just after menstruation, and ‘the egg is released when the uterine lining is thickest’.
  • The egg was available at all times, but that conception could only occur at specific conditions of the uterus.
  • Implantation would occur if the uterine wall was very thick, well supplied with blood, or recovered after menstruation.

  • Conception occurs if intercourse takes place on the 14th day of the cycle’, and ‘ovulation occurs when there is a sudden rise in body temperature’ or ‘in the middle of the month’.
