Meet Professor Yao-Chin Wang! He is an assistant professor of Hospitality Management in the School of Human Environmental Sciences at the University of Arkansas. In fall 2018, he will be teaching a newly designated service learning course HESC 455V: Festival Management.
This course is designed around hosting experiences for War Eagle Fair. Student teams will work on their assigned functions, such as social media marketing, human resources, and public relations and have an opportunity to meet with exhibitors comprising of artists and small business owners from the local community. Through this course, the students not only will learn about the history of this festival but also understand how this fair could contribute to positive social and cultural influences to local community.
