Quality Engineering and Management Workshops

The workshops address improving both the quality and efficiency of manufacturing operations. The concepts of six-sigma and lean manufacturing are presented in an understandable and usable form. The objective of the seminars is to have the participants approach there jobs with a “different set of eyes” with an emphasis on continuous improvement. The workshops range from the use of statistical process control (SPC) to evaluate and improve processes to quality management seminars that address the effects of organizational structure, communication and coordination. The workshops are tailored to the specific needs of the organization.

Occupational Ergonomics Workshops

Three day short courses designed for industrial/process engineers, health care providers, production management and safety professionals.  The workshops focus on job analysis and documentation, ergonomic considerations for manual material handling and musculoskeletal disorders, and the design of workspaces, work methods, tools and equipment.

One-day Ergonomics Applications Seminars

Seminars that are intended to provide the participants with a “different set of eyes” to recognize potential improvements in workplace design, work methods, tools and equipment.   The training is based on operational examples of good and poor ergonomics and case studies that illustrate the cost effectiveness of ergonomically well designed systems.

Ergonomics for Health Care Providers

An ergonomics seminar specifically designed for nurses, occupational physicians,  worker’s compensation administrators and safety professionals.

Workshop on Ergonomic Job-site Analysis Methods

A two-day work workshop that presents valid, easily understood methods of conducting ergonomic evaluations of worksites. Both manual and computer-based systems (RULA, REBA, Job Strain Index,  General Motors Risk Factor Checklist, ACGIH TLVs, NIOSH Lifting Guidelines, Liberty Mutual Insurance Lifting Tables). The workshop is intended for individuals responsible for assessing, documenting and improving workplace design, work methods, tools and equipment.
