Volunteers Needed to Harvest Tomatoes
GroGreen is inviting volunteers out to the Horticulture Farm to help harvest tomatoes for a U of A graduate student’s research experiment. This would be a great chance to visit the farm and meet some of the members of GroGreen, the sustainability RSO that runs the campus garden. Work will last approximately one hour and volunteers are encouraged to wear long sleeves to prevent skin irritation.

Arrangements are being made for the tomatoes to go on to the Food Science department for processing into canned goods after the researcher is done with them.

Tuesday, July 8th at 1:00 Pm
Directions: Enter the farm on the East side of Garland at the Food Science sign. Continue straight and then curve left to stay on the paved road. You will pass Food Science on your right and then curve to the right. The Horticulture Field Lab will be on your right after the curve, a green metal building. You can park in the gravel parking lot.
