Purpose
The goals of this community are to create passionate student sustainability leaders, to strive to create replicable models of sustainable residential living, and to provide avenues for building partnerships and strengthening social ties. Alumni of the Sustainability LLC should be able to articulate major themes in sustainability.
Imagine yourself…
- Attending a Campus Garden Party at the campus community garden
- Assisting with a food drive for World Food Day
- Working with Chartwells and the dining halls on Project Clean Plate
- Volunteering at a local farm
How do you benefit from this LLC?
Benefits of participating in the LLC include getting to know faculty in a small setting, creating connections right away with peers who share the same interests, and becoming involved at the University of Arkansas.

OK, I want in. How do I sign up?
First, make sure you have a housing contract. You will not be eligible to participate until you have a contract and have paid the $235 advance payment to University Housing.
Next fill out theSustainability LLC Application Form and return it to University Housing at housing@uark.edu.
We approve students on a first-come, first-served basis. Once your eligibility has been confirmed, wait for your University Housing Shop-N-Swap time (early April to late May) to sign up for your room. Please note that you must live on the floor on which the Sustainability LLC is located. You cannot participate and live on another floor or in another residence hall. Assignments are made on a first-come, first-served basis and if interested you should act quickly to secure a space.
