A new twist on “TED Talks,” these RED Talks address relevant topics that affect not only our campus, but the community and world. RED Talks include engaging lectures from educational and specialized speakers. |

UAPD is hosting an unused drug take-back event in front of the Arkansas Union from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Unused prescriptions are very harmful to the environment if they are improperly disposed of and also pose a danger to household members when kept. |

Friday Night Live Earth Day Celebration |

Earth Day will last into the late hours with a sustainability-themed Friday Night Live event to take place on the Union Mall from 8:00 p.m. to midnight. Students will enjoy snacks and giveaways along with activities such as a clothing swap (bring your gently used clothes and find something new!) and flower pot decorating. |

Earth Week Dickson St. Bike Lane Clean Up |

ASG is proud to partner up with the Office for Sustainability, RIC, and Recyclebacks to host University Earth Week April 18-22nd. As a part of the week’s events, there will be a clean up of the bike lane that runs across Dickson St. by Chipotle. Come join to make our city even more beautiful! Snacks, clean-up supplies, and volunteer hours will be provided to those that participate. |

Huntsville Rain Garden Maintenance |
|
|
|
|
|
Join us from 2:00 to 4:00 pm for rain garden maintenance! Volunteers are needed to remove invasive plants and add mulch. Rain gardens help slow down water, let it soak into the soil, and filter pollutants before they enter our waterways. Check-in will take place at 2:00 pm at Huntsville City Hall and volunteers will caravan to the location. Gloves, tools, and water will be provided for volunteers. |

Annual Earth Day Mullins Creek Cleanup |
|

|
Help us clean up Mullins Creek at the UA Fayetteville campus this Earth Day! We need your help to remove trash from the stream which flows into Town Branch and eventually Beaver Lake! The cleanup will run from 2:00-4:00 pm and volunteers should meet at lot 56 on Razorback Rd. and Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. All cleanup supplies including trash bags, gloves, and trash pickers will be provided. |

East Fork and Middle Fork White River Cleanup |
|
|
|
|
|
Join BWA for a cleanup of the East Fork and Middle Fork of the White River to remove trash and bulky waste before it flows into Beaver Lake! The event will take place on Saturday, April 23rd from 9 am to 1 pm. Volunteers will meet at Bunch Park Pavilion in Elkins at 9 am where they will be directed to various cleanup locations, and will return at 12 pm for a free lunch and door prizes. All supplies including trash bags, gloves, and trash pickers will be provided. |

Tri Cycle Farms’ Food Recovery/ Compost Crew |

Every Thursday, we gather at Tri Cycle to sort through boxes of expired produce from Ozark Natural Foods, a local health food coop. We sort and weigh the food, feed some to our sweet chickens, and then add the rest to the compost. There is also usually plenty of still-good-looking, organic produce to share amongst ourselves! If you like veggies, chickens, or compost, come join us for a chill, fun volunteer opportunity while helping to prevent food waste in our community. Just meet outside the community house at the farm (1705 N Garland Ave) at 3:30pm on Thursdays! |

Habitat for Humanity ReStore Assistant |
|
|
|
|
|
Customer service is the primary focus for our ReStore Volunteers. Our ReStore staff will assign jobs as needed. Below are examples of the types of jobs you will be asked to do. Greet and assist customers as needed. Assist in cleaning, pricing, and organizing merchandise. Arrange items on display shelves and sales floor. Hang pictures and create decorative displays when needed. Rearrange furniture and other merchandise in all departments to ensure displays remain visually stimulating. Arrange special promotion displays as needed. Help keep aisles clean and safe. Assist with donation pickups if necessary. Light cleaning. Please dress appropriately for the weather. This is a warehouse environment with limited climate control. All volunteers must wear closed toed shoes. The Habitat ReStore is family friendly so please no short, shorts or inappropriate t-shirts. |

Feed the Hungry and Homeless — House of Hope Rescue Mission |
|
|
|
|
|
The House of Hope Rescue Mission is a “Day Center” for the homeless and needy. Our goal is to provide a place where people can come for shelter from the cold or heat, receive snacks, water and a hot meal while at our facility, get help with life skills and job searches. We provide showers, a place for clients to do their laundry free of charge, and a place they can receive mail. Clients can receive clothing and food from our pantry monthly. There are multiple ways to volunteer at the House of Hope:
