Greedy Goats Return to Campus!

September is National Honey Month and the Office for Sustainability is celebrating as part of our commitment to being a certified Bee Campus USA.   Help us celebrate by dropping by and visiting with the Greedy Goat crew on Thursday, September 6th, Noon-2PM at Sustainability House (look for the yellow brick house between Harmon Garage and Dickson St.). Bring your lunch and visit with the goats!

Greedy Goats at Work Video

In May, Greedy Goats came to campus to help clear out some invasive species of plants along Oak Ridge trail.  They were hard at work for a week helping to clear out invasive plants from the area along the trail and didn’t have much time for socializing.  They’re coming back, and this time they’ll have time to visit with you!

The Pop-up petting zoo is designed to allow visitors to brush, pet and feed the goats as well as learn from their owners, Connie & Jason, the sustainable nature of this method of removing invasive plants from our environment. For more information on their work on campus please visit our blog post below.
