FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Students completing a minor in Foundations of Sustainability will display their capstone experience projects in the Arkansas Union International Connections Lounge April 20-21. About 50 posters will be in the Union exhibiting the student’s personal projects.
“This year we have a record number of students completing capstone projects, about 50 students overall, that compares to 60 students who have completed projects in the last four years,” said Steve Boss, director of Sustainability Academic Programs and professor of geosciences.
A reception will be held April 21 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Arkansas Union. The students will be present to discuss their capstone project experiences. Participating students will have either completed a community service project, a research project or an internship involving sustainability.
This event also serves as an opportunity for students interested in completing a minor in Foundations of Sustainability to see what they will learn and can accomplish through the minor.
The reception is open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.
