Apply for a part-time AmeriCorps- AR GardenCorps position to work for Feed Fayetteville. This position will focus on Feed Fayetteville’s work with SNAP Gardens, Farm to Head Start and Washington Elementary Garden club. It begins January 15, 2014.
The purpose of Arkansas GardenCorps is to promote the use of school and community gardens to increase environmental awareness and sustainable agriculture practices in Arkansas communities. Members will assist with the following GardenCorps objectives:
- Development and maintenance of school and community gardens
- Garden-based education for youth and adults
- Recruitment of volunteers to support sustainability of gardens
- Increase access to fresh produce grown in gardens
