1. Youth Energy Audit Coordinator Position

Boston Public Schools and the Boston Latin School Youth Climate Action Network are running a summer Green Jobs Energy Audit Training Program for eight to ten  high school students. This will be the third year this program is running and we are seeking a co-leader to help organize and run this unique and fun Internship program. The job is located in the library of the Boston Latin School in the Fenway neighborhood of Boston and will run 9-3pm, M-Thu, July 8th – Aug 16th with an occasional Friday programming day. This is a great part time summer job for a recent graduate who has experience working with you and has an interest in energy, sustainability and green buildings! Compensation is based on experience. 2. Green Schools Volunteer Management Coordinator

This is an Americorps VISTA position at Boston Public School District. The role will start in August 2013 and last until August 2014 with the possibility to renew. This role would be great for a recent undergraduate or graduate student looking to get started in the green building/green schools industry, but it is also open to recent high school graduates.

The Boston Green School Volunteer Management Coordinator will design and launch a new Volunteer Management Program. This position will require the Coordinator to collaborate with engineers, architects, community non-profits, and school leaders across the District’s 127 schools. The Coordinator should be comfortable working in both an office setting and in the field with volunteers.

The Coordinator will be responsible for three main projects:

1.      Design an online application tool to efficiently connect schools that have specific project needs with community-based resources (volunteers, funding, etc). Develop promotional and educational resources and spread the word about the Program.

2.      Coordinate the Schoolyard Stewardship Initiative. Match volunteers with schools ensure they are maintained year round. Help schools access resources to build new vegetable gardens.

3.      Coordinate at least one Green Apple Day of Service project in September 2013 at a Boston school.
