People around campus have been asking me…
“What have you done to participate in RecycleMania?” It’s a fair enough question. I am, after all, asking 20,000+ people on the UA campus to participate in a national competition to reduce waste and increase recycling rates. It seems only fair that I answer the this question but I would like to first explain a little bit about why it is so important that we all make a personal pledge to reduce ones’ own waste and increase ones’ own recycling rate.
Be the change because you are the only corner of the universe you can be sure of improving.
I’ve made a personal pledge and followed up on my pledge through specific actions. The personal pledge is the first, and most important step, however.
