The Omni Student Coalition empowers students to take on leadership roles in the challenging, ever-changing world we live in. They do this by learning and working together to create changes that will make our future sustainable, just and peaceful, and our communities survive and thrive. The OMNI Student Coalition serves the campus community, the nation, and the world as a support entity for concerned individual students and as a coalition center for peace, justice, and ecology groups.

Since its creation in 2019, the student coalition has organized trash clean ups, advocated for solar energy in Arkansas, and facilitated transportation for voters during election seasons. During the year away from campus, the group partnered with the MayDay Community Kitchen to provide cooked meal for individuals and families in need. This initiative also worked to combat food waste by sourcing all food stuffs through donations from restaurants and grocery stores.

“Being a part of OMNI has given me the opportunity to bring attention to topics I care about and find like-minded people that are driven to make real, positive change,” OMNI President and rising senior Sydney Golding said.

The OMNI Student Coalition for Peace, Justice, and Equality takes a holistic, intersectional approach to student organizing. If you are interested in grassroots organizing and being connected with other student leaders, then you will find a place in OMNI. You can follow OMNI on Instagram and visit their HogSync page here.
