Solid Waste Matters Lecture
The Boston Mountain Solid Waste District and Washington County Environmental Affairs Office have organized a speaker series for elected officials about solid waste management in Arkansas. This series will cover aspects of our current management program as well as ideas for the future. The population of Northwest Arkansas continues to grow and effective solid waste management is an important component of successful development.
The second session will be held Wednesday, May 6th at the Westside Wastewater Treatment Plant in Fayetteville beginning at 11am. A free lunch will be provided. Environmental Educators Elizabeth Hill and Leah Saffian will be presenting along with Mike Harp, Boston Mountain Solid Waste District’s Chief Environmental Enforcement Officer. We look forward to a lunch learning about how our educators teach the community and how environmental law is enforced.
For questions call Washington County Environmental Affairs at 479.444.1725.
