Nature Journaling Workshop
Presented by the Arkansas Environmental Education Association (AEEA) in cooperation with Project Learning Tree (PLT), this workshop will demonstrate various ways to utilize the powerful tool of nature journaling. It unlocks creativity; hones observation skills; provides a window into the past; and is the data collection backbone of the scientific process – all while reinforcing important record-keeping skills such as reading, writing, and drawing. Science, technology, engineering, math (STEM), language arts, art, history, and even music can be addressed using PLT activities and nature journaling practices.

Generous U Applications
One of the Sillerman Center’s goals is to encourage social justice philanthropy. Generous U is a contest that helps promote that goal. Generous U awards a $10,000 Prize (and a runner-up prize) to college students who propose ways of increasing philanthropy on their campus. The Generous U contest spotlights student giving and its positive impact.
We want you to be part of our nationwide contest to make college campuses more philanthropic. Eligible student groups should submit an Intent to Apply. Then they should prepare a cover letter and YouTube video, demonstrating how their group will increase philanthropy and/or philanthropic values on their campus, by Friday, March 13 for the 2015 Generous U Prize.
