Andres Escobar is from Colombia. Andres received his bachelor in Electrical Engineering in 2002 from Universidad Tecnologica de Pereira (COL). In 2004 he received his Masters in Science in Electrical Engineering from same university where he is currently.

Arthur K. Barnes

Arthur is from Denver, CO and was born in 1981. Barnes received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering in 2003 from the University of Colorado at Boulder. He received his Masters in Science from the University of Florida in 2007. His focus was signal processing and machine learning. He has worked as an intern at Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He is currently pursuing a doctorate at the University of Arkansas in Electrical Engineering with a focus on power systems and power electronics. He is studying grid integration of distributed energy storage.

Austin Curbow

Austin is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering at the University of Arkansas. He is currently doing research on power electronics and is working as an intern at a robotics company. His interests include control systems and electronic circuit design. Austin plans to continue his education with a master’s degree in control systems engineering.

Corris Mallory Doss Stewart

Corris Mallory Doss Stewart from Owasso, OK, was born in 1989. He is an Eagle Scout and was a part of the Razorback Marching Band during his undergraduate studies. Stewart received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering in May 2011 from the University of Arkansas.

Ethan Williams

Ethan Williams is an Honor’s Fellow recipient doing undergraduate research while working towards a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering at the University of Arkansas, anticipated May 2015.  His primary work has been with Luciano Andres Garcia Rodriguez in increasing efficiency and lowering costs associated with micro-inverters.  He is the IEEE Past-President of the University of Arkansas Student Chapter.

Jonathan Keith Hayes

Jonathan is from Fort Smith, AR, and received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering in 2012 from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville. He is currently pursuing a Masters in Science in Electrical Engineering at the University of Arkansas under the guidance of Dr. Juan Carlos Balda. His current work is in power electronics with an emphasis in motor drive applications.

Kenny George

Kenny George was born and raised right here in Northwest Arkansas. He is pursuing his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with honors distinction. As a non-traditional student, Kenny balances his education and research endeavors with many other responsibilities. He is a father to a beautiful baby girl, an avid guitar player, and he designs and builds boutique guitar amps and pedals in his spare time.

Luis Mogollon

Born and raised in Panama, Luis Mogollon completed his Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Technological University of Panama. He had served four years in R&D activities of renewable energy applications in his home country. He was part of the main staff that designs and implements a hybrid generation system (PV-wind) for poor Elementary Schools in Panama. In recent years, Luis earned a scholarship sponsored by Fulbright-LASPAU. He currently pursues his M.S.E.E. at the University of Arkansas. His research focuses on wind variability analysis and its complications in systems with a high level of wind energy penetration.

Manuel Antonio Sanchez Tejada

Manuel is from Panama and he was born in 1985. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the Technological University of Panama in 2010. After that, he worked for two years at ENSA, one of the two electrical distribution utilities in Panama. He is currently working towards his Master’s degree at the University of Arkansas with the Sponsorship of the Fulbright Program. He is working on a current balancer for a case study based on the province of Darien in Panama. Manuel is the current president of the Fulbright Scholars student organization at the University of Arkansas.

Mythreyi Devanathan

Mythreyi is from Chennai, India and has a Bachelor’s of Technology in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from SASTRA University, India. She is currently pursuing a Master’s in Electrical Engineering at the University of Arkansas under the guidance of Dr. Juan Balda. Her interests are in power and control engineering. Currently, she is preparing a short course on Power Electronic Interfaces for Renewable Energy Systems.

Samuel Garcia Brown

Samuel is from Panama City, Panama. He received his Bachelor of Science in Electromechanical Engineering in 2010 from the Technological University of Panama. He then worked for two years at Gas Natural Fenosa, a utility company in Panama. In 2012 he was granted a scholarship from the government of his country to study and obtain a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering at the University of Arkansas.
