Big Idea 1: Creativity

Computing is a creative activity. Computer science lessons are often presented to students in a way that does not align with their interests and values. In other words, it is taught with more emphasis on technical detail than creative potential. The AP Computer Science Principles framework strives to emphasize the creative aspects of computing by requiring students to use the tools and techniques of computer science to create interesting and relevant artifacts.
