Example of the Response Grid.

You can also choose to display the Response Grid after every question by changing your preferences.

If you use the response grid, then your student’s will be able to tell whether or not they have registered their device ID correctly to their name.

  1. The first step in using the Response Grid is to download your Course from Blackboard. If you have already downloaded your course then you may need to update it before proceeding to ensure that all of your participant records are up-to-date.
  2. Click the Polling tab.
    Click on the Polling tab
  3. Click the name of your participant list under the Participants box, then select PowerPoint Polling or Anywhere Polling.
    Click on PowerPoint Polling
    or
    Click on your course and then click on Anywhere Polling.

This will load your choice of polling methods. Once you start the polling for your question then you will have the option of turning on the Response Grid for that question.

After you begin polling, you will see the tool bar.  Click on the Show/Hide Response Grid button to display the Response Grid.  It looks like a checkerboard chart.

Changing Preferences to Display the Response Grid for Every Question

  1. From the TurningPoint Cloud Dashboard click the Settings icon which looks like a gear.
    Click on the settings cog.
  2. Click PowerPoint
    Choose PowerPoint - the third option on the left
  3. Scroll down to the Questions section and click the box next to Response Grid
    Choose the box next to Response Grid
  4. Click Close.

With this setting enabled the response grid will appear each time you ask a question in PowerPoint Polling.

Setting TurningPoint Cloud to Display the Response Grid by default each time you ask a question in Anywhere Polling

  1. From the TurningPoint Cloud Dashboard select the Settings icon which looks like a gear.
    Click on the settings cog.
  2. Click Anywhere
    Click on Anywhere Polling on the left side of the screen
  3. Click Response Grid under Presentation
    Click on the box next to Response Grid
  4. Click Close

With this setting enabled the response grid will appear each time you ask a question in Anywhere Polling.
