Note: Echo360 is moving to a new version and location for the Fall 2016 semester. We will now use the Echo360 ALP (Active Learning Platform), hosted in the Amazon Cloud. If you have been using Echo360 Personal Capture (PCAP) to record and publish, you will need to download a new installer. Existing recordings on your computer will still be accessible within the new software.
Installing the new Echo360 Active Learning Platform
Access
Faculty and staff can email ftc@uark.edu with their name and the name of the course in which they are planning on using Echo360 ALP to gain access to the platform.
Personal Capture
Echo360 Active Learning Platform Personal Capture can be used by faculty and students to record audio, video, and/or computer presentations from any computer. Recordings are stored on your computer and can be uploaded to the Echo360 server for publication through a direct link or on Blackboard Learn.
In order for students to access the Echo360 content for a course a Content link to the Echo360 external tool must be added to each course. For student participation to be sent to the Results Center the Echo360 tool must be added through the Assessments menu on the Content page.

- Use a quality microphone, and record in a quiet room.
- Keep recorded modules short.
- If recording video, make eye contact with the camera to create a more effective presentation.
- Use video to promote critical thinking and active learning.
