Top Design Sites Made with Divi

Sometimes when designing a site, I find it easier to look at different sites to gather inspiration than starting from scratch.Design can be difficult when you don’t have an idea of what you want the end result to look like. For that reason, it’s good to look at other WordPress sites made with Divi to give you an idea of what you can do with your site. After some exploring, you will be pleasantly surprised with what you discover and gather some design tools/tricks that you haven’t thought of before.

You may be wondering if it’s ethical to look at other sites for inspiration, but the truth is, you will not be able to exactly replicate a site – even if you tried. It’s the same concept as drawing an object: you have an image for reference, but your end result will be reflective of your own style and interpretation. With that being said, let’s take a look at some Divi sites with awesome and innovative designs. Let’s get creative juices flowing!

1. Karenrbrooks.com

Karen Brooks’ blog features a fun and illustrative front page that has a classic feel to it. The real-life pictures of her books below the sketched out images of herself, a printing press, and a feather quill pen emphasize the juxtaposition of the printing age with the digital age. Stuck on two design ideas? Try juxtapositioning two unlike designs together.

2. Lawrencecoates.com

In contrast, this blog has a simple and clean header on top of a landscape image. If you have a pretty “busy” or “loud” image you want to use on your homepage, you can use an overlay filter on top of the image to make your text more visible. The overlay can darken or lighten the image to make it perfectly compatible with easy-to-read text. You can do this by opening up your header module and going to the design tab. Scroll down to “Overlay” and choose the overlay background color.

3. Fehrandpeers.com

Fehr and Peers uses a looping video and simple white text and icons for their header (click on link to view). This kind of interactive front page adds a depth to your site and provides something different than what your users are used to seeing on a site.

4. Artandcraftfilm.com

What’s really interesting about this homepage is the text choice; the different fonts add a layer to the page that wouldn’t be there without it. It’s good to break the rules every once in a while so go ahead! Incorporate different fonts and see what it looks like.

5. Motionedgedesign.com

White space can be inviting to the user. It creates the illusion of open space and makes the site look bigger. This site looks clean and crisp with different colored fonts on top of a white background.

6. Carol.no

Can’t decide on a key image? Make a collage and set it on top of the header. This site does a brilliant job of grouping similarly-colored images together to make a seamless homepage.

7. Samuigardenvilla.com

Sometimes good design is more simple than we might anticipate. Samui Garden Villa’s site is a good example of how using good-quality images and easy-to-read text is enough to make a site look great. If you find yourself overcomplicating a site layout, try sticking to the basics.

8. Roadtoquiet.com

If you have a strong, perfect-quality image, a fullwidth header is the way to go. With a great image like this, this site doesn’t have to do a lot of work to make it look good. It’s okay to let your photo do the talking.

9. Hariscizmic.com

We already talked about video headers, but to take it a step further, add a still image on top of the moving header (click on link to view). It provides a nice balance to the movement in the background and makes the user feel a little more grounded.

10. Rilizjodesigns.com

A unique font can set your site apart. Try something new by using an unusual font! Just make sure the rest of your content does not cause the unique font to overpower the site and make it look too crowded.

In conclusion

I hope looking at these sites breathed new inspiration into your design repertoire. Use that creativity to try something new on your site, and have fun designing!
