The Office for Sustainability and UREC Outdoors are pleased to announce that the 3rd annual Bike Fest will be happening on Wednesday, October 5th from 11–2 on McIlroy Avenue (between Founders and Kimpel). Everyone is invited to join in the fun!

  • Free food, giveaways, and prizes;

  • Drawing for a free bike;

  • Slow Bike Races;

  • UREC Outdoors will map your route and check out your bike;

  • UAPD will answer your questions about avoiding theft, the rules of the road, and bike etiquette;

  • Local bike shops and organizations will be there to talk trails, gear, and all things bikes!

Bike Fest is an opportunity for students to learn more about cycling on and around the campus and to register their bikes with the university. Students who cannot attend the festivities but would like to register their bicycles should visit the U of A Parking and Transit website to complete a bicycle registration form.
