Internship and Fellowship Opportunities

Zero Waste Resource Development Post-Landfill Action Network Summer Fellowship

PLAN helps students reduce waste in their campus communities, delivering significant environmental benefits and reducing costs for institutions, students, and parents. We provide student-led organizations on campuses nationwide with the tools and training to create self-sustaining waste-reduction programs, based on the model piloted at the University of New Hampshire. Additionally, PLAN is educating students about waste issues and working to build the infrastructure for a zero-waste world.

The primary focus of the Resource Development Summer Fellow will be writing comprehensive, engaging and advanced training manuals, so as to provide the resources necessary for students to begin, expand and troubleshoot zero waste programs on their campuses. This position is open only to recent graduates. Deadline to apply is April 22nd.

The mission of Tri Cycle Farms is to “build community through soil,” and the nonprofit (via fiscal partnership with the OMNI Center for Peace, Justice and Ecology) is working broadly with other like-minded organizations in the region to strengthen food security. Tri Cycle Farms has ongoing “Farm to Table” programs, gardening classes, volunteer opportunities, chicken husbandry, herb walks, a composting system, and new plans to develop a farmer’s market with the Trinity United Methodist Church, which is directly across the street from Tri Cycle.
