1. So whenever it comes to recording this information they have the people that were at the crime report on them. What happens if someone is completely biased or even racist so they blow the crime way out of proportion?
2. One other thing that they said is that they try not to keep paper records. Why is it that they do that? Isn’t it possible for their technology to go wrong and they lose information?
As to your first question, this is why the FBI is so heavy on the guidelines for the data. They want to ensure reporting consistency.
And yes, technology can always go wrong.
