1) How much more Arkansas did out-of-students pay in 2015-2016 than in-state students? Provide the actual figures and the percentage difference. In other words, in-state students paid what percentage of out of state students?
2) Which year had the biggest percentage gain for in- and out-of-state tuition?
3) Which expense category (books, tuition, room/board, other) increased the most from the 2012-2013 to the 2015-2016 school years on a percentage change basis?

(I asked for a memo on your findings. Don’t begin a memo with the questions. Write in a news style and in complete sentences)

Arkansas!

  1. Out of state students= $13,304 more, in state students paid 64% that out of state did.
  2. 2014-2015 for instate and 2015-2016 for out of state.
  3. Out of state tuition increased the most.

Missouri (BOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!)   (What is this? Not appropriate for professional work)

  1. Out of state students= $15,657 more, in state students paid 61% that out of state did.
  2. 2013-2014 for instate and 2014-2015 for out of state.
  3. Book supplies increased the most.

Both of these schools are relatively expensive (compared to what) and I would think that both would offer about the same amount of worth for their degrees. Both schools are also really well known (they are? who says?) and have huge campuses as well as a big population of students (how big). They both are in the SEC (define) and also have a big fan base in sports. Usually they are good programs but they tend to stumble every once in a while as well. The two prices could very also because of tax prices in the state as well. It surprised that the cost of books at Arkansas has actually dropped as well. I can’t even imagine paying more than we already do now for books. I feel as if maybe if we would have compared two schools that aren’t relatively near would’ve maybe also been a good idea because then we could see how much that affects everything. These two schools were very similar in almost every category but I feel like if maybe we looked at USC or some school that is way the hell out there from us than maybe these expenses would probably be a lot greater. Especially if these schools are in a bigger town. Because when people think of Fayetteville, AR they don’t think that it’s a huge city and I could only imagine how much different the prices would be in a huge city like New York or Chicago. Living there is just expensive and I bet that everything would be increased because of how expensive everything is in those cities.
