Little Rock, Arkansas houses the VA facilities with the highest SHEP score of the cities in this study.
SHEP stands for Survey of Healthcare Experiences of Patients. SHEP is a survey that is given to recently discharged patients that asks them a series of random questions about their experience with the VA hospital.
While Little Rock, Arkansas had the highest SHEP score in this study with 79.7 percent, Memphis had the lowest VA SHEP rating, coming in at 70.2 percent.
*I averaged all VA facility SHEP scores in each city, and included both primary and specialty care*
Betsy – This is a very strong graphic. It is clear and easy to understand. I would change the y axis to format in percent. I would beef up the headline to make it more descriptive.
Remember what this is measuring: “The data below shares what Veterans have said about their own experiences accessing care. ”
But overall, this is really well done.
