I found mistake number 8 specifically eye opening because I would have never thought to keep a detailed list of what I’ve been doing day to day for not just my editor but also for myself. I seems like something obvious but until reading the article I hadn’t realized how important it is. Keeping those notes and lists can make a huge difference when trying to figure out if there is something  wrong with your process and its something that I could use as a invaluable tool.

I also found interesting how valuable the use of statistics is when trying to explain data. Using terms such as per capita or per dollar paints a clearer image and does a better job of conveying the data to someone.
