Minority groups seem to have been rejected at larger rates than the larger racial groups. It seems to be that there is still a large amount of racial prejudice when it comes to buying a house. In the NWA area minorities, in this case American Indian at 29%and Hispanics at 21% were the most rejected. I really astounds me that whites have such a small rejection rate, and the only reasoning i can see behind this is racial prejudice. In order for that to be founded in fact and not opinion, i would like to find out how much the income on average is for these minority groups. Are they poorer families applying for to expensive of a house, or are they making a good amount of money and still being rejected? Also does the current residence of these families affect the outcome of their loans?
