The NPR data looks at medical systems overall rather than individual hospitals or clinics. I went back to the VA data audit page and looked up the pending wait times from February 1, 2017, which was where the NPR data left off, and compared it to the numbers from NPR. They matched up, which validated the claim that the NPR data measured data from the VA systems and not specific hospitals.
2. I put a filter onto the pending wait time data spreadsheet and deselected all of the VA hospitals. I then went through to V9 and V16 on the filter and added all of the systems, plus their hospitals and clinics, to just show (V16) (564) Fayetteville, (V16) (667) Shreveport, (V9) (614) Memphis and (V16) (598) Shreveport.
