1 thing I found important from reading the “How to avoid 10 Common Mistakes in Data Reporting” is #1: Do not overestimate the meaning of your data. I think this is important to know and put towards work as a journalism because when you’re reading something, it is very easy to think everything is important. Rather than sitting back and really highlighting what the text is really about. If you overestimate the data than the story becomes invalid because it is too lengthy and skates around the main point making it harder to keep peoples attention.

The second thing I found important is to not use too many numbers in a single sentence or paragraph. This is super important because if I read something with too many numbers, I lose interest really quick and I get confused. It easier to break the numbers up and explain them rather than cramming all the data into one sentence. I enjoyed reading these articles.
