1. It was interesting to read in “Data in the News: Wikileaks” case study about how the journalists were able to create their own database. Using a massive Excel file that they received with over 92,201 rows of data, they were also able to narrow down information to meet specific needs for specific stories using the database they created.
  2. In the case study, “Data Journalism at the BBC,” it was interesting to read that there is not a specific data journalist working for the BBC News website, rather, everyone has to have the skills in order to analyze data correctly. This just shows the importance of this area of journalism, and how much it has expanded over time.
