Here are two things I found interesting.
- The first thing that I found interesting was mistake number one in the article on data reporting mistakes. This reminded me of the discussion we had in class the other day about how numbers do sometimes lie. It’s important to make sure your numbers come from a trusted source. I feel that this is important for a couple of reasons. First, it’s important because you don’t want to give your readers false information. Second, it’s important because it would be awful to do a lot of data work on the numbers you collected, only to realize they aren’t true.
- The second thing that I found interesting was mistake number five. You always want to make sure you have everything correct even if it seems very simple. Mussenden said that even if he was correct in the first place, he usually learns something new when he checks in with the office the data came from.
Nice comments, Kayla. Right on point.
