This was a complete fail for me.
I tried Option #1 and was actually able to link the databases together, until I tried to mess around with them and I kept getting an error message. It says something about the data not matching. I tried linking the crime data with violent crime rate and the zip data with the zip, and I still had no luck. The zip data is technically linked within my Tableau sheet, but I cannot do much with it since I keep getting error messages.
I am interested to see how we will work out all of these kinks in class Thursday. Once we go through it step by step, I am sure my issues will be only minor. It will be cool to see how we can link all of this major data together to create something that looks so simple and visually pleasing.
