In NW Arkansas home loan approval ratings vary amongst different races. Aside from whites, all racial and ethnic groups are not equally represented in home mortgage loans.
With the majority of residents in northwest Arkansas being white, they also make up approximately 88 percent of all home loan applicants. In contrast the lowest number of applicants by race are Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islanders at just less than one percent of total applications received in Northwest Arkansas. This data, according to the Home Mortgage Disclosure Acts website shows variances amongst different races in applying for loans.
The Home Mortgage Disclosure Acts website also indicates the approval rating for each race as well as the rejection rate. With approval ratings for the white and black population being almost equal, the Asian population comes out on top with the highest approval rating at 80 percent.
- Is there anyway to find out specifically where these people are applying for homes? The difference in a request for a home loan in say Rodgers or Bentonville would be much different than a request for a loan in West Fork.
- Whats the percentage of people by race who rent homes/apartments versus those who seek out a loan?
