Violent crime includes murder/manslaughter, two different kinds of rape (legacy and revised), robbery, and aggravated assault. Property crimes include burglary, larceny, and motor vehicle theft. Both of these categories are split twice into the number of offenses reported and crime rates per 100,000 population.
Fayetteville is ranked third in the state for property crime because of the 2,603 larceny-theft crimes reported in 2014.
