Veterans Health Administration measures patients healthcare experiences in a survey known as Survey of Healthcare Experiences of Patients (SHEP). This is a comparison between the Fayetteville VA Medical Center, two Little Rock Veterans hospitals; Eugene J Towbin Health care Center, John L. McClellan Memorial Veterans’ Hospital, Shreveport, LA Veterans hospital; Overton Brooks Veterans’ Administration Medical Center and Memphis VA Medical Center in Memphis, TN. Memphis VA Medical Center ranked lowest in SHEP score at 1.4998 compared to these other hospitals.
There are four SHEP scores for primary (routine or urgent) and speciality (routine or urgent). Don’t know what this is measuring. It appears you added all four. Consider an average if that is what you’re doing.
The headline should be more descriptive – instead of shep, describe what this is – veterans say their experience getting an appointment is good in Arkansas but not in neighboring states. Remember what this is measuring: “The data below shares what Veterans have said about their own experiences accessing care. ”
The map labels should be repositioned horizontally to make the graphic readable. Good to see you chose a map – needs further refinement. Thanks
